We brought news to you in November of a Town Plan for Bridgnorth. This is a document which will be put together by local people and will be a point of reference for the future direction and planning of the town. A diverse steering group has been formed and is now meeting regularly to work out the logistics of how to consult with all residents of Bridgnorth to ensure the plan really does represent the needs and wishes of local people.

Chairing the project is Ian Wellings, a Riverside resident, who said, " The people of Bridgnorth have been presented with a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in the future development and improvement of this unique town. The steering committee is non-political and is an excellent example of 'by the poeple, for the people'. I would ask all members of the community to grasp this opportunity to 'have your say' by completing and returning the questionnaires which will be delivered to everyone in the Town District early in 2010".
