Residents of Bridgnorth, Worfield, Alveley and Claverley can attend their next Local Joint Committee meeting on Wednesday 2 December.

The meeting is being held at Alveley Village Hall at 7pm.

Councillor Christian Lea, Chairman of the Local Joint Committee for Bridgnorth, Worfield, Alveley and Claverley said: "I would encourage local people to come along to the meeting and ask any questions on matters that concern them. With local Police and Fire Service Officers in attendance, together with a member of the Road Safety team from Shropshire Council, it is a great opportunity for people to find out more about local community issues."

"We will also be awarding grants to local groups and organisations from the £71,000 budget that the committee holds and there will also be a chance for people to suggest future agenda items."

In addition to this there will also be a chance for the community to view a 'Community Roadshow' which will showcase some council services, including Leisure, feed back on the Whitburn Street consultation and promotion of a new youth project in Alveley.  Family Allsorts will be there to talk about how they can help promote family orientated services and activities in the area. And also a local charity, Bridgnorth Bathing Centre, which provides baths and hair washing for the elderly in a friendly and cheerful environment.
