You will probably have seen the Change 4 Life ads on the TV and there is now a great chance to get
involved yourselves! The Community Council of Shropshire is helping to recruit volunteers for this exciting
project!

Volunteers are needed at schools across the Albrigton , Broseley ,Bridgnorth ,Much Wenlock and Shifnal area to
help out with this exciting national project!

Change 4 Life is a Goverment initiative which aims to get young people to be more active and participate in
a range of fun physical activities. The project will include both primary(years 3 &4) and secondary schools (9
to 13 yo) across the area.
Change 4 Life Sports Clubs focuses on building a network of new school sport clubs based on seven Olympic
and Paralympic sports. There are a range of sporting and outdoor activities to get involved in. This new
network of sports clubs aims to attract young people who might be inspired by the 2012 Games to take up and
participate in a range of Olympic and Paralympic Sports.
Chris Jew PE & Sports Manager at Idsall school who is managing the project said " This is a fantastic project
for people who like working with young people and also enjoy sporting activities to get involved and make a
real difference to the lives of young people, full training will be given to anyone who volunteers and also
expenses will be paid.Training of volunteers will be done end Nov or early Dec with the project starting in
Jan and running thru to summer"
