Plans are afoot for children from the age of three are to be welcomed at Moffats in the biggest new development at the school for years.

'Little Moffats', which has catered for children from four to seven for the past 15 years, will be opening its doors to children at the younger end of the Early Years Foundation Stage, in response to local demand.

In anticipation of numbers increasing further, the school is planning a major redevelopment of Little Moffats to enable the Early Years children to have their own separate classroom.

"Many parents seem disappointed not to be able to send their children to us sooner," said headteacher Mark Daborn.

"I hope they will see that our exciting plans will produce a combination of fresh, new surroundings with the traditional values and atmosphere that so many parents seek nowadays."

From Little Moffats, the children move into the 'main school' in Kinlet Hall, home to Moffats since 1946, where they enjoy a rich, varied and unpressurised childhood up to the age of 13.

Many of the school's facilities are used by the children of Little Moffats, including music and dance, the IT room and - most exciting for some - the school's own ponies.

The school is set in 100 acres of its own beautiful parkland, 20 minutes from Bridgnorth on the B4363.

A daily minibus service serves families in and around Bridgnorth.
