Rocky Road

Suggested ingredients:

1 - 2 Blocks of chocolate, melted. (Milk, white, dark, up to you!) (the microwave is brilliant for melting chocolate, but do it in short bursts and keep stirring it in between) not optional!
3 handfuls of rice krispies ( you could use cornflakes instead) - optional
6 bashed up biscuits (any sort of dry biscuit will do, digestives are best, but rich tea, ginger, nice etc will do).  Put biscuits in a food bag and give it a few whacks with a rolling pin to break up.  Keep it fairly chunky - optional
1 handful raisins or sultanas - optional
2 handfuls of mini marshmallows - optional
half tub glacie cherries (chopped up using kids scissors) - optional

You could also add chopped apricots (get kids to cut them up with scissors), chopped dried apple, nuts (bash them up the same way as biscuits), glace cherries, desicated coconut.

Basically you can add the above suggested ingredients in varying degress to the melted chocolate by using what you have in your cupboards, and what you like.  Don't spread the chocolate too thinly as no-one likes skinny chocolate on their cakes!

Once mixed, you can either put into greased and lined baking tin, or use cake cases as this is a little less messy.  Chill for a couple of hours, if you can wait that long!  If you read my cookie recipe and bought some edible glitter, now could be a good time to use some more!
