Pre-Schools and Playgroups

Pre-Schools and playgroups are usually run either by a volunteer committee or by a school and are either based on a school site or in a local village hall. They offer low cost childcare on a sessional basis, mornings or afternoons and many have lunch clubs to bridge the gap to provide full day care. They operate around school times on a term time basis. Children can usually start between the ages of 2 and 3 depending on the setting.
